I am a creative, Not a consumer

Not without goals, Not a dreamer whose lost

I am an outside the box thinker

Yet not a person unwilling to view reality’s cost.

I am a lover, and I’m hungry

Hungry to be loved like one of a kind.

I am a person who is intelligent

And I know that my body is a place for my spirit and mind.

So I am woman, I am adult

I’m a child who once was lost but now is found.

I am a worker, who is able

And when I see the work I’ve done, I feel so proud.

I am topline, not at the bottom

And my work consistent, beautiful and true

I am the person who is working

To find the best version of me and you

So if I falter, if I fall down,

please excuse the mess that I have made

It seems no matter how far I’ve made it

I still have some things that keep me afraid.

So, I am student, I am teacher

I am someone who is proud to walk beside

Any person, who despite shortcomings,

Has stood up tall and tried and tried and tried.
